THE HEAD OF USER EXPERIENCE'S MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Set design standards for the team
• Train and support the team in UX best practices, review work, provide guidance, mentor the design team and collaborate with clients.
• Work collaboratively with other areas of the business to ensure progression towards business KPIs
• Create intuitive and elegant UX solutions to user problems
• Develop and maintain a UX programme to guide designers and projects towards the UX objective
• Design all UX best practices and processes, embedding these into the team
• Delegate and manage UX deliverables: Prioritize and assign work to the team while ensuring deadlines are met and manageable.
• Facilitate the design process: Set and maintain team workflows, evaluate what is and is not working, and document the design process.
• Prompt decision making, use of data and technical considerations in your thinking

TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS HEAD OF UX ROLE, YOU NEED TO:

• Have 6+ years’ experience as a UX Designer
• Have a track record of leading teams
• Be able to show a portfolio showcasing results, processes, best in class user experience and products
• Be detail driven, and able to manage time across several projects at the same time
• An understanding of design, usability and research best practices

WHAT WE EXPECT FROM YOU?

• Excellent sense of visual aesthetics (color, typography, spacing, etc.).
• User focused design. You should have a deep understanding and appreciation of the process of identifying users' needs and solving their problems with functional and elegant design.
• Working experience creating screen flows, interaction models, responsive layout and UI elements.
• Analytical skills are a must. You should be able to weigh the pros and cons and cost and benefits of different design solutions, backed by research and data.
• An awesome portfolio showcasing your previous designs and processes. Experience with Sketch, Figma or Adobe XD.
